Character Name: Charmaine de Warriene
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Physical Description: Charmaine (Chammy) is tall and slender, with pale skin and thick brown hair that she attempts to keep as neat and brushed as she can. Her eyes are a startlingly bright cornflower blue, but as she normally keeps her heavy-lidded eyes downcast, their colour is rarely seen. Her voice is soft, breathy and husky; a mixture of a shy little girl and a seductress with a South Carolina accent. Her slender build combined with her mild manner and quiet way of moving through the world make her appear to be delicate, despite her five foot nine height and the dirt that is nearly inescapable in the modern day. She is also bustier then one might expect, a quirk of genetics that she doesn’t nessacrily hide.
Brief Description of Personality: Soft-spoken, kind, sweet, shy in company and yet very capable at filing, organizing and apologizing for her surpriors; Charmaine is, essentially, a Southern belle. She can be stubborn, but it’s always a little touch and go as to if she’ll stand for what she thinks is right and correct instead of nodding and smiling and letting it side for the sake of peace. Despite this, she has survived for a year since everything went south, and if nothing else that proves that there are depths to her personality that she isn’t quite aware of.
Human/Zombie/Werewolf/Vampire: Vampire
Character Affiliation: Ally of the vampire gang, but mostly neutral towards everyone else.
Personal Possessions: In an apartment attached to her Aunt Georgina’s now half-ruined house, Chammy has managed to keep most of her belongings (so, books, clothes etcetera). Things that stand out are: a typewritter, a rifle (present from her father) with ammunition, an Audi TT that belonged to her aunt and that she tends not to use much, an Irish Wolfhound called Sally, a gas-stove.
History: The second of three daughters to be born to Maximin and Irene de Warriene, Charmaine was raised in South Carolina. Something of a dreamer at school, she did well enough to pass and go on to college and not much better. Upon completing her rather useless degree and spending a year or so on her daddy’s ranch, she decided to head north in search of work. Hitch-hiking to Chicago at the age of twenty-two, Charmaine begged some floor-space off her mother’s older sister, Georgina. Aunt Georgina refused to hear of her niece sleeping on the floor and gave her the granny flat attached to her house. Eighteen months after that, Chammy found herself a job in a law-firm that was one its way to becoming one of the top ones in Chicago as one of the secretaries.
Possibly to counter this, possibly from inspiration, she wrote romance novels in her spare time – never published, though.
When the bombs and death struck, Aunt Georgina was killed and the main house half-ruined. Chammy has kept her flat, though not her job or her photographer boyfriend Maxwell Cass - Max, who was in the Middle East and hasn't been heard from since. To survive she takes odd jobs – helping to put stores in order again, renting floorspace, that kind of thing – sometimes asking for supplies, other times blood as payment.
